So the latest trend in the beauty world is multi-masking. We can see multi-masking techniques all over the social media.
Have you tried this yet? If not, then you really need to try this and you will understand the craze about multi-tasking.
What is Multi-Masking?
Multi- masking is basically using different masks on your face at once to address different problem areas of your face. You can use numerous masks on different parts of your face to achieve better skin. When we talk about our skin we always define our skin as: dry, normal, oily or combination. But if we notice, not all the parts of our face are dry or oily. For my face my T-zone is always oily and the area around my lips dry. To address this kind of differences in our facial skin multi-masking is the best way. Which mask goes where? For Multi-masking, you would need more than 1 mask at hand.
For oily parts of your face: Oily parts of your face includes your T-zone, chin area. Oily parts of your face you should use the masks targeted at removing oiliness and making your face softer without leaving an oily or dry feeling. The best masks for oily skins are the ones with charcoal, clay or mud. My recommendations : Fab India Charcoal mask
For the dry parts of your skin: Dry parts of your face includes your cheeks, forehead, area around your lips. For these areas use the masks which have moisturising properties. Masks that contain fruits are the best masks for dry skin as they leave your skin feeling soft and supple.
My recommendations : Biotique Bio Fruit Whitening & Depigmentation Face Pack
For pore minimizing:The skin around our nose has the most visible pores. For areas where the pore are visible you can use skin tightening masks. Masks that contain chocolates are the best for skin tightening according to me. My recommendations : Freeman Avocado & Oatmeal mask
For area around the eyes: This area is the most sensitive part of your face. Use masks that are made for sensitive skin that will nourish and not damage your skin. My recommendations : Shahnaz Husain Shaweeds Seaweed Under Eye Mask
How to Multi-Mask?
I am not sure if multi-mask is word or not but that’s what I call it. So now you know which masks you are going to apply on the respective areas of your
Start with a clean face and apply each mask generously based on the application steps. Make sure you choose the masks which need to stay on for more or less the same amount of time. It will not make sense for you to apply a mask on your nose which needs to be washed off in 5 min. whereas your other masks need to sit for other 15-20 mins. Once you have applied the masks on your face, let them sit for the stipulated time. Wash your face with clean water and enjoy the new freshness of your skin. And don’t forget to moisturize.
When to multi-mask. I normally multi-mask when I am about to travel especially by flight. You can still multi mask once every week to take care of your beautiful skin.
- 1. Make sure all your masks have more or less the same amount of time before they need to be washed/peeled off.
- 2.Use masks which need to be removed the same way .e.g. all masks need to be washed or all masks need to be peeled.
- 3.Best apply the masks with mask brush or use an old foundation brush for even application
